OUR PAST SPEAKERS

An Address to The Power of an Idea

The University of Louisville has been recognized as a Carnegie 1 Level research institution. Countless faculty and students, across all disciplines, are engaged in quality research and academic scholarship on a daily basis. The Power of Ideas can be found not only within The Grawemeyer Awards, but also within the University of Louisville that is bestowed to award them.

Each year, a faculty speaker is invited to The Grawemeyer Colloquium to deliver a keynote address that involves some combination of discussing a project of their research, the power it has as an individual idea, and the general power of ideas in their field of study. This address is followed by a time for discussion with a multidisciplinary audience to yield new insights.

Keynote addresses are recorded each and published under a 'same-attribution, non-commercial, share-alike, international' creative commons license and are made publically available.

A video link will be updated above following this year's keynote address.
